At the annual banquet at the Country Club Johannesburg on Saturday 20th February 2010 in South Africa, the RW District Grand Master Gerald Roland Fotinakis presented a cheque to Childline for R1 million.

At the annual banquet at The Country Club Johannesburg on Saturday 7 March 2009 in South Africa, the RW District Grand Master Gerald Roland Fotinakis said that with today's rapidly changing society, Freemasonry was more relevant than at any other time.

A presentation was made to Woodside Sanctuary of R 1 000 000 and a further amount of
R 200 000 was handed over to Forest Town School.

Woodside Sanctuary

Woodside is committed to excellence in holistic care and stimulation for the profoundly disabled.

Woodside Sanctuary provides a haven for abused and handicapped children. It provides round-the-clock residential care for children with severe mental and physical handicaps. Children from all South Africa are accepted, from birth, onwards.

Forest Town
Established in 1948, thousands of disabled children, adults and caregivers have benefited from pioneering and innovative educational, training and treatment programmes at Forest Town School.
The school continues this legacy today, offering crucial and multi-facetted aspects of service to the disabled community, both directly and indirectly.
 
Donations of R17 million have been made by The District of South Africa, North and its lodges over the past fifteen years:

In addition to the above approximately R600 000 is given annually, from the Inter-Constitutional Masonic Charity, in grants to aged and indigent Freemasons or their dependants and towards bursaries.
