I have been searching for the FREEMASONS,in books, people and the net and recently after spending close to R3000 I have found this site and the question still stand as to how do I join ? what is the selection criteria? I am asking this in respect of my race;occupation and residence. What mostly inpired me is the book by Dr A.A.COOPER titled the Freemasons of South Africa©1986

I am the Junior Deacon at Norview Lodge #113 in Norfolk, Virginia-USA. Greetings! I have started a project just recently of linking all Freemasons in the world. All lodges will be linked to cities, all cities will be linked to regions, all regions to states/providences/territories, all states to countries, all countries to a continients, and all continents to the Freemasons of the World. Please take a look and tell me what you think? It is all being done on Facebook. The name of my group/page is Freemason Global Network. I have started a Facebook Group called 'Freemasons of Africa' that would pertain to you. Please join and if you would I would ask that you help develop the group and help maintain a portion of it. Take Care.

Hi there, I'm fascinated by how I found out about freemasons and I feel there was a greater being involved in this descovery.I have been reading about numerology and mysteriously ended up here...
I would like to know if ladies are accepted, the when and where,I'm truely happy to have uncovered this wonder of knowlegde. I'm a young female residing in Midrand and it would be an honoured to recieve an invitation in the very near future to be a member.
Thank you. Regards, Miss WT Loney

One year ago, I was preparing in the chamber of preparation to be entered as an Apprentice Freemason. The flood of emotions I was experiencing could take up to hours to explain, but I can say that I was scared. “Scared of the unknown”. Then “why” you may ask did you choose to join the fraternity? For some reason I just knew that it was the right thing for me to do. The night I went through my initiation ceremony became a turning point in my life. The morality system on which the craft is built is something the profane world would just not understand, I also realized that you are a Freemason long before you are initiated, for this reason the selection process needs to be very thorough, for someone who will not enjoy the craft should not join. Six months later I was passed to the degree of a Fellow Craft, if I thought I was touched by the initiation ceremony I had a huge surprise waiting for me. This ceremony was amplified by about 100 times compared to the first one, and it definitely touched me in a way I never expected in my wildest dreams. Now tonight is my raising to the Sublime degree of a Master Mason. Am I scared? Yes I am but not as scared as exited because if this degree is anything like the first two I am in for the ride of my life.

Hi there - thank you for an interesting website ! My father - John Eadie [known as Jock] was a freemason + attended the Connaught Lodge in Pretoria in the 50 -70's - He was a Scotsman born in Glasgow 17 Jan 1917 + died in JHb 27 Jan 1986 - I would be interested to find out any further information or if there are any records of his masonic history as I was still a child in those days - I am also interested in finding out if there are any ladies meetings in Cape Town ? Thank you !
