March 7th , UGLE District of SA North held annual banquet where a cheque for R1m was given to Woodside (a children's home) at the same function an additional cheque for R200k was given to Forest Town School for the purchase of specialised software for the children. In excess of 150 brethren, wives and guests attended this function. |

Thanks to a very generous donation by Coca- Cola, 195 cases of everyone's favourite soft drink was donated to various children’s homes in the Gauteng area. The first recipient was the Firlands Salvation Army Home for Children in Linden. The children very happily accepted 20 cases of coke. Another very worthy recipient was the Topsy Foundation. They received 35 cases of colddrink which will be used by the participants of the Topsy Roadshow. The roadshow encompasses a beauty pageant, community cleaning projects and sporting events. |

With the winter months upon us, there are many families in desperate need of warmth. Our blanket drive has been hugely successful with more than 1000 blankets being donated to worthy recipients, including Elandspark School, Action for the blind an disabled, AMCARE and displaced immigrants |

Thanks to the donations received, toys such as teddy bears, bouncing balls, and cars, together with application toys such as colouring books, board games and playing cards were recently purchased and taken to children in the Oncology Department of the Johannesburg General Hospital |
